Server Rules
Regulations and guidelines for behavior and activity within the server.
Common Sense
Use common sense before carrying out an action you think is questionable, if at any point you feel uncertain regarding something you are about to do and if it is against our server policy, don't hesitate to contact a member of our staff team for clarification. We are all here to enjoy ourselves and have a good time, please do not ruin that for others!
0. Common Decency
Common Courtesy or Common Decency is a standard of etiquette employed in interactions between humans. It is defined as politeness that is expected when an interaction occurs but is not solely limited to that. It is expected that all players will:
- Treat other players regardless of their background with respect in all out-of-character communications.
- Allow other players a space to roleplay and develop their character in.
- Allow other players to react to an action you have initiated onto them.
- Be able to accept a loss and not playing for a win in every situation.
- Be able to distinguish between in-character and out-of-character.
- Continue roleplay even if you feel you have allegedly been wronged and have called for an administrator.
- Harassing or attacking members on other platforms like Discord, YouTube, Twitter, or any other site is not allowed within our community. We expect all members to behave respectfully and responsibly, both within our community and in their interactions with others outside of it. Any reports of harmful behavior will be taken seriously and may lead to disciplinary action.
For this to be relevant and be enacted upon in Los Santos County it should be the ulterior motive and goal of every player alike to never violate this rule.
Treating other players well regardless of their background with respect in all out-of-character communications:
- Harsh/unnecessary remarks about someone's English/Roleplay/etc. alongside bullying or any other forms of harassment will not be accepted.
Allowing other players a space to roleplay and develop their character in:
- Certain players may wish to roleplay a character different from the ones previously encountered, it is their choice to do so and will be tolerated by the staff team as long as the ideological, ethnic or other portrayed characteristics are deemed realistic and suitable for the environment.
Berating another player about their character is not another player's duty, you may give them friendly advice on how to improve certain parts of the character the player is trying to portray.
Allowing other players to react to an action you have initiated onto them:
- This is partly already covered by "Powergaming", we advise players to keep in mind that instant responses cannot be expected as this is a text-based roleplay server. Therefore, the receiving player may have to revise his response multiple times to adjust to the circumstances. Do not immediately report someone for refusing to roleplay or other similar accusations before there is substantial evidence that the player is indeed refusing to roleplay.
Being able to accept a loss and not playing for a win in every situation:
- If a player is found to be only playing to win every single interaction or situation he or she encounters (powergaming, metagaming, or in other ways exploiting rules, parts of the scripts, etc.) he or she will be given a punishment.
Being able to distinguish between in-character and out-of-character:
- We understand that people get attached to their characters, regardless there must be a clear distinction between the player and the character.
Continuing roleplay even if you feel you have allegedly been wronged and have called for an administrator:
- The general consensus is that you are to remain in-character at all times under all circumstances but one, which is when an administrator in his or her capacity as Los Santos County staff intervenes in a situation and halts it. A player actively trying to disrupt roleplay by using out-of-character means or breaking rules for any reason whatsoever is not acceptable, even if they have been wronged in the first place..
To maintain a healthy and inclusive environment for all members, content creators are expected to actively moderate their communities. Failure to do so, including not preventing members from engaging in attacks or harmful behavior, may result in a ban from the community. We are committed to fostering a safe and respectful space, and we greatly appreciate your cooperation in upholding these standards.
Punishment: Admin discretion
1. Remain In-Character At All Times
You are required to remain in-character at all times. Disrupting, stalling, or trolling during other people's role-play situations is prohibited. You can not break other rules just because you feel that another player has violated the server rules, even if you feel the situation you are involved in is unrealistic or against server rules. You must seek out an administrator for assistance via the proper steps (Ex: /report, forum report) and must roleplay up until the administrator arrives.
- Masks bought from a 24/7 or from the use of a donation perk (/mask) are entirely out of character. You're not required to remove your mask for any reason except when partaking in a faction attack. If you wish to obstruct your facial appearance you need a mask in character (clothing object, etc.).
- If you feel that you are being mistreated and a player has violated a rule you must remain in character until an administrator arrives. In event that an administrator does not respond you are to continue the role-play and submit a report on the forums. The only exception for this rule is during vulgar role play scenes.
- Quitting the server to avoid any type of role play (i.e. quitting to avoid jail time, or being killed.) is prohibited.
Punishment: Varies from an admin jail to a server ban.
2. Metagaming
Metagaming is defined as the In Character use of information found through Out of Character means. This also includes having alternative characters and exchanging information from one of your characters to another without another player telling you the information.

Punishment: Varies from an admin jail to a server ban.
4. Third Party Modification / Hacking
While FiveM will not allow for Grand Theft Auto V modifications, on the off chance; here at Los Santos County we have a zero tolerance for any third party script modifications or hacking software. This includes threats to our Community, Server, and fellow members. Zero tolerance means that there is no warning, you are permanently banned with no chance of an appeal.
Punishment: Permanent server ban.
5. Vulgar Roleplay
“Player” refers to the person behind the screen. “Character” refers to the in-game entity created by the player.
- Players under the age of 18 are prohibited from engaging in any form of sexual roleplay.
- Characters under the age of 18 are prohibited from engaging in any form of sexual roleplay.
- This includes entering erotic venues or participating in adult-themed scenes.

- Any roleplay involving torture, graphic injury, sexual activity, or disturbing themes.
- Erotic roleplay (ERP) involving sexual acts or scenes leading to sexual acts (“third base” onward).
Players must seek and have approved out-of-character consent from ALL parties involved (It is recommended all parties involved screenshot consent) before the roleplay progresses towards anything listed above.
- Roleplay must occur in private or secluded areas where non-consenting players are unlikely to witness it.
- Players who enter such areas are assumed to have consented; those who do not wish to see it should leave.
- Any player may withdraw consent at any time, and the scene must immediately stop or fade to black.
- Erotic scenes in businesses must be clearly advertised to warn other players.
- Characters created solely for sexual roleplay are prohibited and must engage in broader roleplay.

- In-character insults or crude remarks may occur when fitting the scene.
- Physical contact such as groping without out-of-character consent is strictly prohibited.

6. Deathmatching
You must have a sufficient roleplay reason to kill another player. Doing so without a reason is considered deathmatching.
- Killing a player because you do not like them OOC.
- Killing a player because you are bored and want to kill someone.
- Killing a police officer simply because they are a police officer.
This is also including revenge killing - once your character has been killed by another player, your memory is wiped from that role-play scene. Killing the player after being killed is considered to be revenge killing.
- You are in a gang war and get killed, but decide to go back and kill them again.
- Someone killed you in a carjacking and you go back and kill them to get the car back.
Punishment: Varies from an admin jail to a server ban.
7. Robbing & Scamming
Robbing is defined as any situation or circumstance where one or more parties forcefully steal/take a certain amount of money or items (drugs, weapons etc.) from a particular player or players through valid and realistic roleplay. Scamming can be defined as any situation where one or more parties employs a deceptive 'trick' or a 'scheme' to undermine a person or persons into giving them money or any other items, without the person knowing their fraudulent intent.. Robberies and scams must be done strictly In Character.
Robbing - All players involved in a robbery must be level 5. There is no limitation to how much money or items (weapons/drugs/etc.) you can be robbed of. The guideline of "what is on you, is on you" must be followed, therefore players should be cautious with the amount of money/items they carry on them. You may not roleplay money/items in unrealistic locations to avoid having to give it to a player robbing you. You are not allowed to force a player to withdraw money from an ATM/Bank. Killing a player to avoid in-character repercussions is prohibited without a very strong reason for doing so.
Scamming - All players involved in a scam must be level 5. Scamming must be done entirely in character, you may scam up too $100,000. Legally owned casinos may not participate/encourage scams. Scamming of cars and properties is not allowed unless granted permission from head of property / management.
Lending money and illegal gambling are done entirely at your own risk. If a player refuses to repay the money you have lent them the staff team will not help you in recovering your money, this also applies if the player you lent money too is banned from the server, your money is gone as well.
Bank/Business Robberies require administrator approval beforehand. You must have a detailed plan before seeking approval, and there must be at least 10 members of the Police Department online. You may seek approval to rob a bank/business via the "/report" command in-game.
Punishment: Varies from an admin jail to a server ban.
8. Real World Trading
It is strictly forbidden to offer in-game property/currency and/or server related services in exchange for real-world items (or other digital items). Any sale/exchange of property that is deemed to be an out of character transaction will be handled appropriately.

- Selling account for real-world items.

Punishment: If players are found to be fleeing to safe areas to try and avoid roleplay they will be dealt with accordingly, punishments may range from a verbal warning to a temporary ban depending on the severity and the number of occurrences.
10. Property Rules
- You may not purposely destroy another players vehicle.
- Attacking another player’s property (house, apartment, business, etc.) requires administrative permission and supervision, as this action is carried out entirely in character. Any damaged property will be rendered unavailable for 24 hours.
